The UC Davis football team is offering a gesture of appreciation to university employees by providing two free tickets per person for this Saturday’s game against Idaho State. Employees can claim their tickets online using the promo code AGGIESTAFF, or HEALTHAGGIE if they are part of UC Davis Health. Additional tickets are available for purchase at $25 for adults and $15 for children.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at UC Davis Health Stadium. Prior to the game, staff members and their families are invited to attend a complimentary Staff Assembly tailgate, which will offer hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, and drinks starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Rec Pool covered picnic area.

Construction related to the Resnick Center for Agricultural Innovation has resulted in road closures near the stadium, with Hutchison Drive reduced to one lane in each direction between Health Sciences Drive and La Rue Road. Design and Construction Management has warned that “heavy congestion is expected on Hutchison Drive between the Health Sciences Drive and La Rue Road intersections, particularly as people leave the game.” Officials recommend fans consider alternative transportation options such as bicycles, scooters, or buses.

Inside the stadium, attendees will have access to additional entertainment including a halftime performance by the UC Davis Marching Band alongside local high school bands as part of Band Day. High school musicians will participate in activities with the university band throughout the day. There will also be a mini Doxie Derby after the first quarter—a dachshund race modeled after Picnic Day traditions—which marks its fifth appearance at a football game.

The event coincides with Parent and Family Weekend.

Additionally, faculty and staff have an opportunity to receive two free tickets to tonight’s women’s volleyball match against UC Riverside by using either AGGIESTAFF or HEALTHAGGIE promo codes. The volleyball match begins at 6 p.m. in University Credit Union Center.
