UC Davis has been recognized with 10 awards for its communication, marketing, and development efforts in the Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Among the 640 institutions that participated, UC Davis secured the second-highest number of awards.

Dana Topousis, chief marketing and communications officer, stated, “It’s never been more crucial to communicate the value and impact of UC Davis, and I’m proud to have so many colleagues who do that so well every day.”

The university received three Grand Gold awards, more than any other institution. These awards are given for entries deemed “game-changing,” with only one awarded per category.

Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations Shaun B. Keister remarked on the achievements: “Our brilliant staff members are unparalleled in their talent and dedication to advancing UC Davis, and this year’s CASE Awards recognize the caliber of work they do here every day. Congratulations to all our winners: In addition to amplifying our mission, your work now serves as an example of excellence for colleagues in higher education the world over.”

Sue Cunningham, CASE President and CEO, commented on the significance of these awards: “The Circle of Excellence Awards shine a spotlight on the extraordinary creativity, passion, and innovation demonstrated by advancement professionals at institutions around the world.
