Palm Desert home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Palm Desert rose by $12,750 while total sales decreased by 13.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 504 homes sold, with a median sale price of $342,750 - a 3.9% increase over the $330,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 580 homes sold in Palm Desert in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Palm Desert for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,852, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
