Governor Gavin Newsom has unveiled his selections for key judicial appointments in California, naming Judge Tara Desautels and Justice Gonzalo Martinez to prominent positions within the state's Court of Appeal. Newsom announced, "Judge Tara Desautels as an Associate Justice of the First District Court of Appeal, Division Two and Justice Gonzalo Martinez as Presiding Justice of the Second District Court of Appeal, Division Seven."

The newly appointed judges across various Superior Courts bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles. Notably, Nichelle Holmes and Jesse Jen-Yen Hsieh have been appointed as Judges in the Contra Costa County Superior Court, while Grace A. Kim and Ashley M. Price will serve as Judges in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Other appointments include Glenn MacNeur Holley in the Placer County Superior Court, Sophia Choi in the Riverside County Superior Court, and Renuka George in the Sacramento County Superior Court. Rebecca F. Zipp, Chrishna M. Martinez, Rosendo Padilla Jr., Vincent I. Parrett, Matthew W. Pritchard, Elizabeth Manassau Sanada, and Marlo S. Nisperos have also been appointed to various Superior Court positions in different counties.

The Governor's appointments come with specific compensations, with the positions in the Court of Appeal offering $272,902, and the Superior Court positions set at $238,479.

These appointments mark a significant development in California's judicial system, with each newly appointed judge poised to contribute to the fair and efficient administration of justice in their respective counties.
