SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom announced several key appointments on March 14, 2024, to various positions within California state government.
Bridget Kolakosky, who hails from Woodland, has been appointed as the Deputy Director for Legislative and Governmental Affairs at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
Nailah Pope-Harden, a resident of Sacramento, has been appointed as the Deputy Director for Equity and Tribal Affairs at the California Department of Transportation.
Eric Sundquist, also from Sacramento, has been appointed as the Deputy Director for Sustainability at the California Department of Transportation.
Terrence O’Brien, from Sacramento, has been appointed to and designated Chair of the State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Katherine “Katie” Delbar, representing Potter Valley, has been reappointed to the State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Ali Jahangiri, from Newport Beach, has been appointed to the State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Eric Holst, based in Sacramento, has been appointed to the State Mining and Geology Board.
Fred Jung, a resident of Fullerton, has been appointed to the State Mining and Geology Board.
Marc Los Huertos, from Claremont, has been reappointed to the State Mining and Geology Board.
