Caitlin Patler, a Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA, has joined the faculty as an expert in public policy. Dr. Patler's research areas focus on US immigration and criminal laws, legal statuses, and law enforcement institutions as drivers of socioeconomic and health disparities. She also explores the spillover and intergenerational consequences of systemic inequality on children's wellbeing.
