Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced the launch of MentalHealth.CA.Gov, a comprehensive website aimed at providing Californians with access to an array of mental health resources. The new platform makes it easier for residents to connect with services such as crisis support, counseling and treatment, real-time assistance, and specialized resources for children, youth, and older adults.

The newly launched website offers life-saving resources and links to mental health support hotlines. It caters to all Californians – from youth and young adults to older citizens, parents and families, veterans, and everyone in between.

In addition to these resources, MentalHealth.CA.Gov also provides key information on California’s behavioral health system transformation. This change has been accelerated by Proposition 1, and the site includes links to program and policy specifics.

The initial version of the website contains information on implementation timelines for Proposition 1 results and current tools available to counties that administer the state’s behavioral health system. The website will continue to be updated with key indicators of new construction and transformed services. This will allow people to compare their county's progress with other California counties and observe how the state is making overall progress.

Governor Newsom's focus on results, transparency, and accountability is evident in this initiative. As the state implements Proposition 1 and transforms its mental health and substance use disorder treatment systems, this platform serves as a testament to his commitment.
