SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that he has signed several bills into law. The legislation covers a range of topics, including human services, developmental services, housing, public safety, and employment.
The bills signed include:
- AB 161 by the Committee on Budget – Human services.
- AB 162 by the Committee on Budget – Developmental services.
- AB 166 by the Committee on Budget – Housing.
- AB 168 by the Committee on Budget – Public safety.
- AB 169 by the Committee on Budget – Public safety juvenile justice trailer bill.
- AB 170 by the Committee on Budget – Courts.
- AB 171 by the Committee on Budget – Employment.
- AB 173 by the Committee on Budget – Transportation budget trailer bill.
Additional legislation includes:
- AB 628 by Assemblymember Lori Wilson (D-Suisun City) concerning employment of inmates in prisons.
- AB 1774 by Assemblymember Diane Dixon (R-Newport Beach) addressing electric bicycles and vehicles.
- AB 1875 by Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D-Inglewood) related to prison canteens.
