Acting Governor Mike McGuire today signed several bills into law in Sacramento.
Among the new legislation is AB 247, authored by Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance). This bill addresses education finance, focusing on the modernization, repair, and safety of Kindergarten Through Grade 12 Schools and Local Community College Public Education Facilities.
Additionally, AB 440 by Assemblymember Gail Pellerin (D-Santa Cruz) was signed. This bill pertains to ballot measures.
Another significant piece of legislation signed is SB 867 by Senator Ben Allen (D-Santa Monica). The bill is known as the Safe Drinking Water, Wildfire Prevention, Drought Preparedness, and Clean Air Bond Act of 2024.
