The California Secretary of State, Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., announced the results of a randomized alphabet drawing conducted today to determine the order in which candidates' names will appear on the November 5, 2024, General Election ballot.

The sequence determined by today's drawing is as follows:

This alphabetical arrangement will be applied throughout the candidate's name, starting with the last name followed by the first name and middle name if necessary. In cases where multiple candidates have last names beginning with the same letter, this sequence will be used for subsequent letters until different letters appear at corresponding positions. For instance, if candidates named Campbell and Carlson are contesting for the same office, their placement on the ballot will depend on how "M" and "R" were drawn in this randomized process.
