Deputies in Isla Vista arrested a man from Camarillo on charges of indecent exposure after an investigation that spanned a month. The arrest came following an incident on February 26, 2025, where a suspect reportedly exposed himself to a woman waiting for a bus near Embarcadero Del Mar and Seville Road.

Following the incident, deputies were unable to identify the suspect immediately. However, persistent follow-up on the case led them to identify 43-year-old Shaun Burree as the suspect. An arrest warrant was approved on March 10, 2025. Nearly three weeks later, on March 27, deputies recognized Burree and his vehicle, leading to his arrest in the 6600 block of Abrego Road. Burree was apprehended without incident and booked at the Main Jail. He was later released on $10,000 bail.

The Sheriff's Office praised the reporting individual for being vigilant, thereby ensuring her safety. She provided crucial evidence by capturing a photograph of the suspect, significantly aiding law enforcement in their investigation.

Authorities acknowledged the contribution of the reporting party in the swift apprehension of the suspect and commended the ongoing efforts of the deputies involved in the case.
