The state of California has launched a redesigned version of its official website, CA.gov. Governor Gavin Newsom announced the launch, highlighting it as a significant step in the state's digital strategy to enhance user experience, accessibility, and service delivery for millions of Californians.

The redesign aims to make government services more efficient and accessible. By leveraging technology, California seeks to transform how residents interact with their government and ensure that services are always within reach.

The revamped CA.gov site facilitates access to hundreds of state services and departments. It is designed to be user-friendly, responsive, and accessible for all Californians. The site builds on previous efforts that earned the state an "A" rating from the Center for Digital Government for its technological practices.

Amy Tong, Secretary of Government Operations, expressed pride in the updated website: “Estoy orgullosa del sitio web actualizado de CA.gov.

The new site features advanced technology with an improved search function and mobile compatibility while adhering to modern web standards. The previous version was launched in 2017; since then, user needs and technology have evolved prompting this update.

CA.gov will continue evolving with translation options for other languages to serve California's diverse population better. It will also offer personalized services based on user location and expanded tools to help users navigate government services more effectively.
