Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California's 32nd District since 1997, recently shared his views on several pressing issues via social media. Born in Los Angeles in 1954 and a graduate of UCLA and Harvard University, Sherman has been a consistent voice in U.S. Congress for over two decades.

On February 13, 2025, Sherman expressed strong opposition to former President Donald Trump's proposal regarding Gaza. He stated, "Trump's plan to take over Gaza and displace its 2 million residents is as dangerous as it is ridiculous. This proposal does nothing to protect #Israel, or find a serious path forward." He noted his satisfaction that many Democrats had signed a letter opposing the plan.

Later that day, Sherman recounted the success of a recent Telephone Town Hall meeting held on February 12, where approximately 6,000 residents participated. He remarked on the discussions about recovery efforts from the Palisades Fire and other topics such as Trump's return to the White House. Sherman expressed gratitude towards FEMA Regional Administrator Bob Fenton for his contributions during the event: "Last night, we held another productive Telephone #TownHall meeting where nearly 6,000 residents joined to hear updates and voice their thoughts on our recovery from the #PalisadesFire, Trump's chaotic return to the White House and more."

In another tweet posted on February 13, Sherman criticized Republican attitudes towards USAID's HIV prevention programs. He pointed out what he perceives as inconsistency in their support for certain measures like condom distribution and elective circumcisions: "Republicans say they're okay with #USAID's HIV prevention programs, but then attack programs to provide condoms and elective circumcisions. Circumcisions reduce HIV transmissions by 60%." Sherman questioned whether there was genuine commitment to protecting Americans from global HIV spread.
