Sheriff's deputies in Goleta, California, have arrested a Santa Barbara man on charges related to soliciting a minor. The arrest occurred after deputies responded to a report involving an individual posing as a juvenile online. The reporting party had arranged to meet the suspect with the intention of engaging in lewd acts.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Adam Escarcega, was detained at the scene without incident. He has been booked at the Main Jail on felony charges of soliciting a minor for lewd acts and is being held on $75,000 bail.
