Ami Bera, M.D., currently serving as a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 6th district, has been vocal on various topics through his recent posts on social media. Representing his constituents since 2013, Bera frequently addresses issues ranging from social justice to local sports and family rights.

On March 31, 2025, Ami Bera shared his support for "#TransDayofVisibility". Bera expressed his commitment to standing with colleagues in the Equality Caucus, stating, “Transgender Americans deserve to live with dignity, security and respect. Today and every day, let’s choose compassion and be kind to one another.”

In a message dated April 1, 2025, Bera expressed enthusiasm for Major League Baseball's arrival in West Sacramento. In reference to the event where the A’s faced the Cubs, Bera encouraged support for the city stating, "Let’s show the world that Sacramento is a great sports city. Play ball!"

Lastly, on April 1, 2025, Bera advocated for parental voting rights in a tweet regarding remote voting after the birth of a child. He opposed actions by Speaker Johnson who allegedly blocked a bipartisan effort for these rights. Bera stated, "It should be common sense to let parents vote remotely after the birth of their child. I’m going to the House floor now to support this effort."
