The California Secretary of State’s Office will host its inaugural Research Symposium on voting and elections in California. The event, led by Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., aims to gather scholars and researchers to discuss issues influencing the future of democracy in the state.
Scheduled for Monday, August 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the symposium will take place at the Secretary of State Office located at 1500 11th Street in Sacramento. Virtual attendance options are also available.
The symposium will feature keynote insights from Secretary Weber and several data research presentations from leading experts in elections and voting rights.
“This symposium represents a significant step in our ongoing commitment to transparent, secure, and accessible elections in California,” said Secretary Weber. “By bringing together diverse perspectives and cutting-edge research, we aim to foster innovative solutions to the challenges facing our democratic processes.”
