The UC Berkeley community convened on Monday, September 9, at the flagpole west of California Hall for the annual campus memorial. The event is held to honor members of the campus who have passed away over the last year.
More than 65 faculty, emeriti, staff, students, postdocs, and visiting scholars were remembered during the ceremony. The memorial featured remarks from Chancellor Rich Lyons, along with music and a spoken word tribute. Attendees laid flowers and offered support to those grieving while recognizing the extraordinary lives that contribute to UC Berkeley's unique community.
