California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., is calling on all eligible Californians to participate actively in the upcoming elections during National Voter Education Week 2024.

"An engaged voter is the backbone of our democracy," stated Secretary Weber. She encouraged Californians to utilize this week to educate themselves about the voting process, understand the issues at hand, and prepare to vote.

Residents are advised to consult the official Voter Guide at voterguide.sos.ca.gov for detailed information on candidates, ballot measures, and key election dates. They should also review their county Voter Guides for local election details. Contact information for county elections offices can be found at sos.ca.gov/elections/voting-resources/county-elections-offices.

To aid voters in understanding the electoral process, two webinars have been hosted by the Secretary of State's office:

- "How to Vote" – youtube.com/watch?v=ZhlhcOi9ymQ

- "Make a Plan to Vote" – youtube.com/watch?v=A4p4htLPXu8

Eligible residents can register to vote at registertovote.ca.gov.
