UC Davis football team secured a decisive victory over Illinois State, winning 42-10, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs. Head Coach Tim Plough expressed pride in his team's performance, stating, "Illinois State is a great football team and early on they came out and punched us in the mouth. But our team continues to show great resolve, and their resilience is what makes them a special team."
The Aggies are set to face South Dakota's Coyotes on December 14 at noon in a game that will be broadcast on ESPN+. This matchup follows UC Davis's bye in the first round of the playoffs while Illinois State advanced by defeating Southeast Missouri State 37-25.
Tickets for upcoming games can be purchased online or through the Aggie Ticket Office. Season ticket holders need to repurchase their seats for postseason games as Junior Aggie passes are not valid. Parking arrangements have been updated with specific costs for tailgating and general parking using AggiePark via the Amp app.
UC Davis encourages fans to contribute $5 per student ticket to fill the student section, known as Shredville, creating an intimidating atmosphere for opponents. Donations support tickets for students and local veterans attending the game.
