A team of assessors from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) is scheduled to visit the UC Davis campus from March 16 to 19. The purpose of this visit is to evaluate the UC Davis Police Department's policies, procedures, management, operations, and support services as part of the process for renewing its accreditation.

The assessment team invites public comments regarding the police department’s compliance with IACLEA standards. These standards are available on the IACLEA website. Comments can be submitted via email to jmurphy@iaclea.org or by phone at (530) 752-7370 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, March 17. A member of the assessment team will receive these comments.

UC Davis Police Department first received accreditation in 2021. Accreditation is granted for four years and requires annual progress reports.

The IACLEA is a nonprofit organization recognized internationally for its dedication to enhancing law enforcement and public safety. Established in 1958, it stands as the largest professional organization focused on public safety and security in higher education, offering resources in training, research, advocacy, education, and professional services.
