Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California's 32nd District since 1997, has recently shared his perspectives on several political matters via social media. Known for his candid opinions, Sherman provided commentary on a presidential address, remarks by former President Donald Trump, and historical inaccuracies related to the Panama Canal.

On March 5, 2025, Sherman expressed his views regarding a recent presidential address to Congress. He described it as "the most partisan presidential address to Congress in American history." Reflecting on his experience attending 29 such addresses, he noted that previous ones included numerous bipartisan applause lines recognizing various groups such as troops and first responders.

Later that day, Sherman commented on statements made by Donald Trump concerning personal appearance. In response to Trump's claim that "everyone is perfect as God made you," Sherman pointed out that Trump has undergone cosmetic surgery. He humorously added advice to Trump about baldness: "Bald is beautiful."

In another post from March 5, Sherman addressed what he referred to as lies by Trump regarding the Panama Canal construction deaths. He clarified that "most deaths occurred in the 1800s when a French company unsuccessfully tried to build the canal," emphasizing that during U.S. construction efforts, the majority of fatalities were among Caribbean workers.
