Congressman Brad Sherman, representing California's 32nd District since 1997, has taken to social media to express his concerns over the current political climate. In a series of tweets, he criticizes actions taken by Republicans and former President Donald Trump regarding potential government shutdowns and international relations.

On March 12, 2025, Congressman Sherman tweeted about the impending government shutdown. He stated, "Make no mistake: #DonaldTrump is on the verge of shutting down the government. Republicans decided to reject all Democratic input. Not even one small compromise. Perhaps our chaos President wants catastrophe."

Later that day, Sherman posted another tweet addressing efforts by Democrats to prevent a shutdown through temporary measures. He wrote, "Democrats are ready to avoid a shutdown today by voting for a 30-day clean CR. We could begin negotiations for a bipartisan 2025 spending plan. Trump says: 'No, shut it down – I love chaos.'"

In another tweet from March 12, Sherman called upon Republican colleagues who support Israel to oppose certain appointments made by Trump. He asserted, "It’s up to those Republicans who claim to support Israel to tell Trump: No! No friend of #Israel would put Daniel Davis in a position of power."
