Brad Sherman addresses Republican CR bill and mourns Raúl Grijalva's passing

Congressman Brad Sherman, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 32nd District since 1997, recently shared a series of tweets addressing political and personal matters. Born in Los Angeles in 1954, Sherman has an educational background from the University of California, Los Angeles, and Harvard University.

On March 13, 2025, Congressman Sherman expressed his concerns about the Republican Continuing Resolution (CR) Bill prior to a Senate vote. He stated: "Republicans are telling us before the Senate vote: The Republican CR Bill is a blank check to Trump/Musk. They will spend what they want and impound the rest. At a minimum we must insist on language requiring #DonaldTrump not to impound."

Later that day, Sherman extended holiday greetings for Purim: "Chag #Purim Sameach to all who celebrate! May this Purim be filled with plenty of joy and serve as a reminder of the strength found in unity and tradition."

On March 14, 2025, Congressman Sherman mourned the loss of his colleague Congressman Raúl Grijalva: "Saddened by the passing of my friend and colleague Congressman Raúl Grijalva. I had the pleasure of working alongside Congressman Grijalva for many years. He was a tireless advocate for Arizona and a truly dedicated public servant. His legacy will endure, and his presence will…"
