In one tweet, Sherman announced the reintroduction of his bill titled "the Accountability for Terrorist Perpetrators of #October7th Act". He emphasized that this legislation aims to sanction the Popular Resistance Committees, a group he describes as "heinous" for its acts of terror against Americans and Israelis. This group has yet to be sanctioned by the United States despite its alleged activities.
Sherman also directed followers to learn more about the bill through a link he provided in another tweet. The congressman encouraged engagement with this bipartisan, bicameral piece of legislation by posting "Learn more about this bipartisan, bicameral bill ".
Additionally, Congressman Sherman participated in what he referred to as a "Shadow Hearing," addressing concerns over changes at USAID under former President Trump and Elon Musk. In his tweet from this event, Sherman expressed concern over program cuts and their consequences, stating "programs slashed, lives lost, America’s role in the world weakened." He reaffirmed his commitment to holding those responsible accountable.
