CITY OF PACIFIC GROVE: Regional Stay Home Order Triggered by ICU Capacity

City of Pacific Grove issued the following announcement on Dec 8.

California health officials announced a Regional Stay at Home Order that will be triggered if Intensive Care Unit (ICU) capacity drops below 15 percent in a given region. The Bay Area region, which Monterey County falls under, currently does not meet this threshold.

Regional Stay at Home Order Summary:

Health officials are tracking the state by five regions: Northern California, Bay Area, Greater Sacramento, San Joaquin Valley and Southern California.
Regional Stay at Home Order takes at 12:59 p.m. on December 5. Thereafter, if a region falls below the 15 percent ICU threshold, it will have 24 hours to implement the Stay at Home Order. Currently the Bay Area region is at
Regional Stay at Home Orders will require Californians to stay at home as much as possible, close operations for certain sectors and require 100 percent masking and physical distancing in all others.
Schools currently open can remain open and retailers can operate indoors at no more than 20 percent capacity to reduce exposure risk.
New order is a modification of the state’s initial Stay at Home Order signed in March and builds on the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
