Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said without Parler, conservatives are being censored and they have no way to communicate.
"The effect of this is there is no longer a free and open social media company or site for any American to get on any longer," Nunes said, Newsweek reported. "Because these big companies—Apple, Amazon, Google—they have just destroyed what was likely a billion-dollar company, and, poof, it's gone."
Nunes said, however, there's more than just the financial aspect to think about.
"Republicans have no way to communicate," Nunes said, Newsweek reported. "It doesn't even matter if you're Republican or conservative if you don't want to be regulated by left-wingers that are at Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, where you get shadow-banned and nobody gets to see you and they get to decide what's violent or not violent, it's preposterous."
Nunes warned Republicans and conservatives to be careful of platforms run by left-wingers.
The dedicated Trump supporter was last week awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work in defending him against Russian collusion allegations.
Many Republicans have been literally cut out of social media and many feel this is because of one-sided rule by Big Tech companies. The companies, in their defense, have reiterated that Trump repeatedly broke their terms of service.
