Governor Gavin Newsom has signed several bills into law, addressing a range of issues from education and cannabis to public safety and healthcare. The newly signed legislation includes:
- AB 1113 by Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento) focuses on the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System and expanded learning opportunity programs.
- AB 1775 by Assemblymember Matt Haney (D-San Francisco) pertains to the retail preparation, sale, and consumption of non-cannabis food and beverage products in cannabis establishments.
- AB 1778 by Assemblymember Damon Connolly (D-San Rafael) addresses regulations for electric bicycles.
- AB 2106, also by Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento), deals with probation matters.
