Ami Bera, M.D., currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for California's 6th district, has expressed his views on several significant issues through a series of tweets. On January 21, 2025, Bera affirmed his stance on birthright citizenship by referencing the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. He stated that "The Fourteenth Amendment is clear: birthright citizenship is in the Constitution." He further mentioned his expectation for judicial bodies to uphold this constitutional right.

On January 22, 2025, Bera commented on recent presidential pardons related to the January 6th Capitol attack. He criticized these actions by stating that "Individuals who attacked police officers and invaded the Capitol on January 6th received fair trials and were convicted. President Trump should not have pardoned them."

Later that day, Bera shared his perspective on personal health care decisions in relation to reproductive rights. As an active member of the Reproductive Health Caucus, he emphasized that "personal health care decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor." Reflecting on Roe v. Wade's anniversary, he reiterated his commitment to restoring what he described as a fundamental freedom.
